Thank you for following along!
As a neurodivergent (I have ADHD & SPD) pediatric occupational therapist and mother to my amazing neurodivergent Autistic son, I wanted to share my personal and professional experiences in hopes to empower and educate parents and professionals. If you would love to hear more about a topic, send an email my way and I will write about it. Peace, Love, and Light!

It is OK to be mad. It is OK to be sad.
I love my son. He is the most energetic, rambunctious ball of high energy with so much love to give. He truly is the most amazing human I have ever met. I will advocate for him and his needs every single day of my life.
Mindfulness is not Trendy
The last year and a half, I have been buried in mindfulness research as well as talking to anyone and everyone about all things mindfulness, and gathering the best evidence to support my final capstone project for my OT doctorate.
The Science Behind Play
Did you know that we have 7 senses!?! You must be thinking, no way, we have 5! Vision, hearing, taste, smell, and touch. These are the 5 senses we were all taught growing up. However, we actually have 2 additional senses, sometimes called our hidden senses, vestibular and proprioception.
Mindfulness for the Holidays
My friend and I were sitting in my zen den (my house office) last night talking about mindfulness. We have had several amazing conversations about this before and still, we find ourselves questioning its entire nature. We were talking about how mindfulness often is misunderstood or associated with something it is not.
